Development of Polyurethane Materials

Release time:[2017-09-26] hit:

In 1937, Professor Bayer (Bayer), poly ammonia first use of isocyanates and polyol compounds polymerization reaction occurs in the preparation of polyurethane resin, after several decades of development. Polyurethanes have become one of the fastest growing polymers in the society today following polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, and phenolic plastics.

Typically, polymers containing multiple carbamate groups (-NHCOO-) in the polymer backbone are collectively referred to as "polyurethanes".

In Germany in 1937, Professor Bayer (Bayer) in Germany first use of isocyanates and polyol compounds polymerization reaction occurs in the preparation of polyurethane resin.

1944, made of linear polyurethane resin, the resin has a thermoplastic, spinnable, can be made of plastic and fiber, named Igamid U, made of this resin called Perlon U.

1947 Bayer's metal and synthetic rubber adhesives, used on the track of military vehicles, laid the foundation for the polyurethane adhesive industry.

1951 ~ 1952 Bayer company successfully successful polyester polyurethane foam foam continuous foam manufacturing process.

In 1950, Professor Bayer published a paper on mixed-type polyurethane (MPU) rubber

1953 Miller (Mi11er) research success liquid pouring urethane rubber (CPU)
